"The Father of Peace," title of the head of the Ethiopian (Abyssinian) Church. The Abba Salamah is consecrated by the Coptic Patriarch in Cairo and is under his jurisdiction. The seat of the Abba Salamah is in Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia; he crowns the Emperor of Ethiopia.
